Brookside Bees is a family owned honey producing business that is a part of the Rogers Family Farms. It was started in 2010 by Harrison and Mary Rogers. Harrison is a Certified Texas Master Beekeeper, and a founding member of Real Texas Honey™, a non-profit organization promoting real, pure, Texas honey. Harrison is a member of Harris County Beekeepers Association, Brazoria County Beekeepers Association, Fort Bend Beekeepers Association, American Beekeeping Federation, and the Texas Beekeepers Association (TBA). He served two terms as area director for TBA, several years as vice president of Harris County Beekeepers, and is presently treasurer of Real Texas Honey. 

As their number of hives increased, the family realized that honey production was going to exceed their family’s needs so they created the Brookside Bees brand and began selling local honey to neighbors and at a small number of events in the Pearland area.
